Langada No. 1 – Theologos Number No. 2

From Langada to Byzantine church Theologos which is build on the site of an ancient temple in beautiful surroundings.

Langada No. 1 – Stavros No. 3

From Langada to the church of Stavros build just over the old bauxite mine. This is one of the loneliest places of Amorgos with a amazing view over the sea and a magical feeling.

Aegiali No.5 – Langada No.1 – Tholaria No.6 – Aegiali No.5

A walk around the mountains side of the valley of Aegiali passing through the picturesque villages Langada Stroumbos and Tholaria. You can also just choose to walk some part of the track.

Distance: 9 km, about 2½ hours the whole walk
Level: Easy
Supplies: Only a bottle of water since there are a lot of possibilities for provision in the villages.

Aegiali No.5 – Xalara No.8

The walk starts in Aegiali through the village of Potamos and to the beautiful cliffs of Xalara. A walk which leads you to one of the most quiet places on Amorgos with beautiful crystal clear waters.

Distance: 9 km, about 2 hours one way
Level: Hard

Aegiali No.5 – Monastery of Hozoviotissa No.9

You start in Aegiali in the north and walk on the ridge to the Monastery in the middle of the island, the best is to walk one way and then take the bus back.

Distance: 20 km, about 4-5 hours one way

You start from the village of Tholaria and walk to the ravine of Mikri Glifada where you can be alone and swim in the clear waters.

Distance: 3 km, about 1 hours one way
Level: Hard

You start in Aegiali in the north and walk on the ridge to the Monastery in the middle of the island, the best is to walk one way and then take the bus back.

Chora No.10 – Katapola No.11

The route is marked nr 2, connects Chora with Katapola in about one hour. The path is old and actually it looks like a traditional path for donkeys.

Vroutsi-Amorgos

Vroutsi No.12 – Ancient Arkesini No.13

The walk starts in Vroutsi in the south of Amorgos to the Ancient Arkesini from 4th century BC. The tower of Agia Triada is the most important ancient monument on Amorgos. Even though the tower is half ruined it still dominates the plain standing beside the church with the same name. It is built from four large cornered blocks and protected the large rural population and the fertile expanses of the area.
